Requirements for Finance Advisor (SPAC-West Africa)

  • Applicant must have First Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Applicant must have relevant accounting professional certification. E.g., ICAN
  • Applicant must have at least five (5) years post-NYSC experience in a related finance position.
  • Applicant must have experience working on a multi-country project.
  • Applicant must have experience in implementing financial control systems
  • Applicant must have development sector experience as a finance person
  • Sound practical knowledge of any accounting software and Spreadsheets
  • Applicant must have the ability to work well with or without supervision.
  • Applicant must have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to interface effectively with other members of staff and solve problems using own initiative
  • Applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Requirements for Programme Advisor (SPAC-West Africa)

  • First Degree in Social Sciences Arts or Humanities
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Membership of relevant professional Institute
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the development sector.
  • Practical experience in agroecology and agricultural extension services.
  • Experience in campaigning and advocacy engagement with government agencies
  • Experience in analyzing global development issues including climate change, food security, corporate abuse etc.
  • Fundraising and resource mobilization experience
  • Experience working with communities
  • Experience working as an agricultural extension agent.
  • Experience working with smallholder women farmers.
  • Experience in the facilitation of networks and coalition building
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of structures of government agencies
  • Ability to provide practical solutions within set deadlines.
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • A person of integrity
  • Creative and takes initiative.
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Willing to work additional hours at crucial times.

Requirements for Programme Officer (SPAC-West Africa)

  • Applicant must have First Degree in Social Sciences or Arts / Humanities
  • Applicant must have at least three years post-NYSC experience in programme administration and agriculture
  • Applicant must have experience in community mobilization
  • Applicant must have an excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook (MS Office in general)
  • Applicant must have experience in Agroecology, Food and Agriculture and climate change
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written the English language.
  • Highly numerate
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent (proven) interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Personal Qualities
  • Creative and takes initiative.
  • Team player
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
