Requirements for Finance Assistant – Nigeria Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE)

  • A Degree in Accounting, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience working on USAID-funded projects is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate with high-level officials and vendors professionally, both via written and verbal communication.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and a local language is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in Nigeria.

Requirements for Driver

  • Completion of Secondary School Education.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar position within any reputable organization (international development sector will be an added advantage).
  • Have an understanding of the mechanics of vehicles as this will be advantageous;
  • Have demonstrable knowledge of Nigerian road networks (with particular emphasis on Northern Nigeria)
  • Have demonstrable knowledge of Nigerian driving codes and regulations

Requirements for Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Communication Assistant – Nigeria SCALE

  • A Degree in Demography, Statistics, Social Sciences, Journalism, Knowledge Management, Public Policy Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning and/or communications and knowledge management tasks for development projects.
  • Competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required basic knowledge of statistical software and graphic design software a plus with room for improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and oral/written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with USAID-funded governance programs is highly desired.
  • Must be authorized to work in Nigeria.
