Requirements for Lafarge Africa Graduate Trainee Program 2024

• Recent University graduates (graduated within the last 2 years) with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Engineering
  • Finance
  • Business Management
• Minimum 2.2 CGPA
• 0 – 2 years work experience
• Strong academic performance and a genuine passion for the industry or field of interest.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and a proactive approach to learning.
• Adaptability and a willingness to embrace challenges and new experiences.

Requirements for Belt Technician

Level of Education / Qualifications normally required:

• HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of hands-on experience in the industry.

Specific Work experience:

• Belt Vulcanization and joining process.

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications
• Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills
• Good attention to detail

Behavioral competencies:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong  team player
• Adaptable
• Tact and tolerant
• Ability to work well under pressure and adhere to set deadlines
• Resilient and Motivated

Leadership and managerial abilities:

• Excellent management skills and ability to organize and plan effectively to meet both short and long-range goals and objectives
• Ability to manage multiple project plans successfully and simultaneously
• Ability to motivate individuals and teams
• Able to coach and direct a diverse team.

Requirements for Mobile Plant Operator

• Minimum SSCE / O’ Level with 5 credits including Maths and English.
• Minimum of 5 Years post-qualification experience
• Machine Main System knowledge

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Health and Safety awareness, Inspection, and understanding of machine
• Fully understand the machine operation parameters (speed, pressures, and temperatures), can monitor dials and indicators and do relevant adjustments and drilling systems,
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications
• Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills
• Good attention to detail
• Good communication skill
