Child Protection and Women Empowerment Initiative – CPWEI is a Women-Led organization registered as an incorporated trustee with the Corporate Affairs Commissions and currently operates in Northeast Nigeria, with its Head office in Damaturu – Yobe State. We work with a wide range of stakeholders to mobilize resources and proffer practicable and realistic solutions to the barriers to access and participation of women and youth in political, social, and economic opportunities and decisions affecting their well-being. We also work to ensure a safer and protective environment in volatile and resettled communities affected by insurgencies in North-eastern Nigeria, by increasing communities’ access to resources and skills through Human Rights Based Approaches.

Requirements for Admin and Finance Manager

  • Minimum of First Degree or higher Degree qualification in Finance, Business, Accounting, or other relevant field; professional qualification in Accounting desired.
  • 4 years of progressive financial management experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong accounting skills and experience including management of the general ledger, journal entries, payroll, payables, and balance sheet.
  • Demonstrated experience and skill with budget preparation and analysis, financial reporting
  • Preparation, presentation, and the proven ability to translate technical financial data into informative reports.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills with the ability to articulate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Knowledge of local law in taxation and local regulatory reporting procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vision) and web Conferencing Applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and manage a complex and diverse workload with tight deadlines.
  • Experience of donor-funded project guidelines including UN, USAID, EU, etc. is an added advantage
  • Time management for task prioritization and deadline adherence;
  • Paying attention to details and strong communication skills, with an ability to integrate information/inputs from across the project to produce relevant products (documents, tools, processes) for success stories;
  • Ability to react via being assertive, identify and respond to demands accordingly;
  • Interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork and strong organizational skills;
  • Adaptability and flexibility to take on new tasks and responsibilities

Requirements for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field (Development or Social Studies).
  • At least 7 years (at least 5 years for Master’s Degree Holders) of field experience in a relief or development environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in program design monitoring and evaluation or management, having served in such a position before for at least one year.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Kobo toolbox and research.
  • Previous experience using analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or Power BI)
  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems from project initiation to close out
  • Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Experience in planning and managing surveys, developing and refining data collection tools, and with data quality assessments and oversight
  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems from project initiation to close out
  • Local language communication skills (English, Hausa, and Kanuri are added advantages)
  • Previous experience with major donor proposal M&E requirements (USAID, OFDA, EC, UN agencies preferred).
  • Capacity-building experience in project monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Experience in implementing Information and Communication Technology for Development and Emergency (ICT4D/E) activities.
  • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (additional experience with Access or SPSS is preferred).
  • Strong skills in written and spoken English; Knowledge of the local language is preferred.
  • Time management for task prioritization and deadline adherence;
  • Paying attention to details and strong communication skills, with an ability to integrate information/inputs from across the project to produce relevant products (documents, tools, processes) for success stories;
  • Ability to react via being assertive, identify and respond to demands accordingly;
  • Interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork and strong organizational skills;
  • Adaptability and flexibility to take on new tasks and responsibilities;

Requirements for Project Coordinator

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years working coordinating and managing humanitarian work
  • Working knowledge of project management software is an added advantage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field
  • Ability to work and make decisions without excessive managerial input
  • Understanding of project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of the concepts related to project management and coordination
  • Time management for task prioritization and deadline adherence;
  • Paying attention to details and strong communication skills, with an ability to integrate information/inputs from across the project to produce relevant products (documents, tools, processes) for success stories;
  • Ability to react via being assertive, identify and respond to demands accordingly;
  • Interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork and strong organizational skills;
  • Adaptability and flexibility to take on new tasks and responsibilities;
