Breakthrough ACTION Nigeria (BA-N) is a USAID-funded Social Behaviour Change (SBC) and Risk Communication Project to increase practices of priority individual and household level health behaviors in target states on MNCH+N, FP, Malaria, Tuberculosis, priority zoonotic diseases, and the COVID-19 response. Firmly grounded in proven practices, Breakthrough ACTION works in partnership with governments, civil society, and communities around the world to implement creative and sustainable SBC programming, nurture SBC champions, mainstream new techniques and technologies, and advocate strategic and sustained investment in SBC.

Requirements for TB Consultant – FBO and Campus Activities

• A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Social / Health Sciences, or related discipline with 7 – 10 years of previous experience in TB and in carrying out related tasks with donor-funded projects is desirable.
• Previous experience working in TB/HIV or COVID-19 implementation including design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation is required.
• Knowledge of key stakeholders in the educational sector at the tertiary level including public and private institutions in Nigeria is required.
• Previous work experience in community mobilization for any health area is desired.
• Experience in developing and coordinating data collection, processing, and analysis systems from multiple sources or program areas will be added advantage.
• The ability to work collaboratively and proactively with diverse stakeholders including ministries, departments, and agencies in the public health sector is required.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work independently and proactively and track multiple activities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (written & spoken) in the English language and one or more Nigerian language(s) are required.
• Ability to travel within Nigeria and work successfully within a cross-cultural, multi-sectoral, multi-project team-based environment.

Requirements for TB Consultant – Trainer

• A Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• 10 – 15 years of professional experience in training healthcare workers.
• Proven experience in implementing public health programs or projects in selected states with good knowledge of the Nigerian public health sector.
• Knowledge of participatory learning approaches with proven experience in training and building capacity for community health organizations or structures.
• Must have an understanding of one Nigerian local language.
• Strong analytical, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired.
• A proven ability to work as part of a team and to be self-managing.
• Ability to travel if required.

Requirements for Senior Program Officer I – TB

• Master’s Degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Health Education, or other related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in SBCC and at least 5 years must be working experience in TB and/or SBC.
• Experience in developing SBCC tools and materials.
• General knowledge of SBCC and its practical application to programs
• Familiarity with the Nigeria National Tuberculosis Strategic Plan (NMSP 2019-2025) and National Tuberculosis Advocacy, Communication, and Social Mobilization Guidelines 2019.
• Proven teamwork and facilitation skills
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to initiate and implement activities with minimal oversight and supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
