Requirements for Consultant, GIRL-H SRHR
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Community Medicine, Social Science, or related discipline. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- 5-10 years of related professional experience in adolescent programming, youth, women empowerment, or livelihoods.
- Experience working with relevant government MDAs such as MoH, PHCB, etc.
- Proven skills in networking, team building, community consultations, and organizational development.
- Ability to mobilize and supervise a team of health mentors that will disseminate the SRHR curriculum to participants
- Excellent reporting, communication, and representation skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships.
- Willingness to consider new perspectives, promote gender equality and engage in gender training
- Proven knowledge and capacity in using computer basic applications MS Word, Excel, and the internet
- In-depth knowledge of the social, cultural, and economic context of Kano is a plus
- Experience in capacity building of health service providers
- Must be based in Kano state. Fluency in the local language (Hausa) is highly desired.
- Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, operations research, reporting, quality assessments, data analysis, and presentation. This includes expertise in research to practice – identifying and adapting best practices to the specific project contexts.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
Requirements for Operations Coordinator
- Applicant should possess at least 3 – 5 years experience in Accounting, Economics, Logistics and Procurement Management, Business Management, or a related field (with international NGOs is an asset)
- Two to three years experience in logistics and procurement with strong organizational skills, ability to maintain the procurement and logistics filing system, ability to interact effectively with international and national personnel, and adaptability to unanticipated circumstances.
- Microsoft Office computer skills and experience with using email.
- Proven ability to solve problems independently without supervision.
- Ability to communicate in English, Kanuri, and Hausa.
Requirements for Roving Operations Manager
- Applicant must have BA / BSc Degree in a relevant field.
- Applicant must gave a minimum of 3 years of management experience in a corporate or an INGO sector, including experience in operational support.
- Sound knowledge of administrative and logistics procedures is highly desired.
- Proven supervisory ability and/or technical skills combined with leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in a diversified multi-cultural and multi-ethnic working environment.
- Skills in managing, organizing, planning and implementing assigned tasks under the pressure of frequent and tight schedules.
- Strong ability to apply good judgment and decision-making skills in difficult and complex working environments.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in handling management and coordination issues at the country program level.
- Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent oral and written English skills are required.
- Ability to work effectively with an ethnically diverse team in a sensitive environment.
