Requirements for Senior Procurement Officer

  • Applicant should possess First Degree in Logistics Management, a relevant Business or Social Sciences discipline.
  • Applicant must have 4 – 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Applicant must have sound knowledge of foreign trade practice and foreign trade policy.
  • Applicant must have sound Knowledge of Inventory ERP, SAP an added advantage.

Requirements for People and Culture Associate

  • Applicant should possess a Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Studies, Law, or a related field; HR Certification is a plus.
  • Applicant must have 2-3 years of proven experience as a People and Culture Officer or in other HR positions.
  • Applicant must have experience working with local organizations, firms, NGOs, or INGOs in the same capacity.
  • Applicant must have an understanding of labor laws, hiring, retention, separation, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Applicant must have proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Packages and experience with HR software.
  • Applicant must have outstanding policy development, organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Applicant must have excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant must have a professional demeanor, ethical standards, and competent problem solver.
  • Applicant must have demonstrated the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and work within a team and in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements for  Executive Director

  • Applicant should possess a Master’s Degree in Gender Studies, Research, Social Services, Social Sciences, Business Development, International Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Applicant must have 5-7+ years of experience in a senior management leadership role in a non-profit, youth-led organization or social enterprise with proven planning, implementation, and coordination skills.
  • Applicant must have extensive experience in fundraising, research, and donor management.
  • Applicant must have demonstrated mentorship and leadership ability in a manner that supports the agency’s philosophy of leadership and growth of staff and programs.
  • Applicant must have an understanding of local and regional contexts on legal frameworks, committees, and strategies on gender equity, research, and women’s rights programming.
  • Applicant must have fluency in English, a major local language, and any other UN-recognised language a plus.
  • Applicant must have the ability to effectively use MS Office packages, G-Suites, and other collaborative tools such as Slack, Trello, and monday.com.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and commitment to principles of sexual and gender-based violence prevention and response, anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion; able to build bridges and weave these principles into all aspects of the organization, including its culture and policies/processes.
  • Applicant must have a proven track record in program management, research, donor relations, and innovations.
  • Applicant must be a leader that leads with a participatory management style and acts as a role model for the team and creates a high-performance workplace reflective of STER’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Applicant must be a relationship builder that develops and maintains positive working relationships with community organizations (actively seeking to engage with diverse communities), survivors, civil society organizations, donors, governments, advisory boards,s and other stakeholders.
  • Applicant must be a results-oriented leader with the ability to clearly and fairly set expectations, negotiate, and hold self and others accountable with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant must be skilled and experienced in establishing productive relationships with the board and presenting complex data in a succinct and effective manner for informed decision-making.
  • Applicant must be a strategic critical thinker that also has strong operational skills, to both guide the organization and ensures that day-to-day management of human resources, accounting, finance, risk management, quality, and governance are effectively managed.
  • Applicant must be a change agent, who is successfully able to support a growing organization.
  • Creating and delivering on a strategy to reach out and partner with other non-profit actors
