Requirements for Engineer – FTTH Network Optimization, Fixed Broadband
- First Degree in Electrical / Electronic or Computer Engineering
- Fluent in English
- A minimum of 3 years experience in an area of specialization, with experience working with others
- Experience working in a medium-sized organization.
- Experience in the Fixed Broadband Network Industry
- Experience with FTTH planning, optimization, operations, and fixed VoIP exchange statistics handling
- Technical Experience in the Planning of Fixed Network Elements
- Good knowledge of IP and data networks, transmission, and fixed broadband technology
- Experience with general FTTH deployment and cabling principles and last-mile customer solutions management
Requirements for Engineer – IP Access Planning, Network
- Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant Engineering or Science course
- Cisco qualification: CCNP/DP, CCIP level
- Experience in IT and telecoms, preferably on a large service provider network.
- Experience with extensive systems integration and network design.
- Understanding of high-capacity packet and core transmission technologies and products, e.g., SDH and DWDM
- Working knowledge of IP/MPLS, QOS standards, and IP networking protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP, etc., segment routing TCP/IP
- Voice Networking Telecomm Standards: ETSI/ANSI, VOIP, and C7 (SS7)
- Working knowledge of CGNAT firewalls
- Knowledge of IPv6 technologies and deployment.
Requirements for Manager – Costing and Profitability, MTN GlobalConnect
- Minimum 4-year Academic Degree in Commerce, BBA, Engineering /Computer or Business Science
- Postgraduate qualification MBA/Masters (Economics, Engineering /Computer Science) preferred
- English, French, and Arabic (as an advantage)
- 5+ years of relevant cost modeling and pricing experience in the fixed line international telecommunication industry preferably in carrier business with a good technical understanding as well.
- Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong analytical skills to adequately anticipate demand & provide recommendations for decision-making
- Working knowledge of business practices
- Knowledge of risk management and business development
- Ability to identify key issues in a situation and to think creatively and strategically in facing internal and external challenges.
