The 3rd United Nations Conference on LLDCs – Fully Funded

Apply to be a sponsored speaker on behalf of the UN-OHRLLS for the Private Sector Forum of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), to be convened in Kigali, Rwanda, on the 18th and 19th of June 2024. This is a once-in-a-decade event that will determine the next 10-year UN programme of action for LLDCs aimed at unlocking their full potential!

The Private Sector Forum of LLDC3 will bring together businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, governments and UN agencies from across 32 landlocked developing countries, to articulate the views, ideas, perspectives and commitments of the private sector.

For the Forum, one speaker among young entrepreneurs for each of the following thematic sessions are sought: Trade & Transit, Digital Development, Growth Opportunities, and Financing & Investment. This is a very special opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise and ambitions on a panel among global high-level speakers.

Requirements:

  • Be an ambitious young mind looking to make a difference in your professional venture.
  • Be between 18 to 35 years old.
  • Come from one of the 32 landlocked developing countries.
  • Work in one of the landlocked developing countries.

LLDC: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lao, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mongolia, Nepal, Niger, North Macedonia, Paraguay, Bolivia, Moldova, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Benefits

  • Flights and daily subsistence allowance for young entrepreneurs coming to Rwanda from foreign countries for the duration of the Private Sector Forum will be provided according to standard UN rules.
