Requirements for Counsellor – Nigeria
- Applicants Must Have At least four years of community-based work experience in Nigeria;
- Applicants Must Have Based in Lagos or Benin City;
- Applicants Must Have Strong ties with the local community and institutions;
- Applicants Must Have An excellent reputation in the local community;
- Applicants Must Have Fluency in English and a local language (Yoruba or Edo)
- Applicants Must Have Excellent communication skills including being comfortable talking and delivering information face-to-face and over the phone;
- Applicants Must Have Excellent knowledge and use of social media and other communication channels such as WhatsApp;
- Applicants Must Have Experience working with monitoring & evaluation tools such as Appsheet or KOBO;
- Applicants Must Have Computer literacy and access to a stable Internet connection;
- Applicants Must Have Strong knowledge of migration and trafficking issues;
- Applicants Must Have Experience in psychosociacounselingng and/or youth mentoring is highly desirable;
- Applicants Must Have Interpersonal skills and an ability to coordinate with teams and local stakeholders;
- Applicants Must Have Experience working with vulnerable groups, and a thorough understanding of confidentiality.
- Applicants Must Have You must be empathetic, confident,t and influential.
- Applicants Must Have You must have at least 4 years of experience doing community-based work and have e demonstrable interest in working with vulnerable communities.

- Applicants Must Have Strong experience working on developing media content, particularly social media content;
- Applicants Must Have Strong photography skills;
- Applicants Must Have Digital campaign and marketing experience (creating, implementing, and extracting the campaign’s metrics to be able to optimize the results);
- Applicants Must Have Effectiveprioritizationn and organizational skills, with an ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision;
- Applicants Must Have Outstanding attention to detail;
- Applicants Must Have Interpersonal skills and an ability to coordinate with teams and local media outlets;
- Applicants Must Have Preferably thematic expertise in migration and trafficking issues;
- Applicants Must Have Fluency in English and one other local language (Yoruba or Edo) is compulsory.
- Applicants Must Have Experience working with vulnerable groups, and a thorough understanding of confidentiality;
- Applicants Must Have Access to a stable Internet connection;
- Applicants Must Have To be successful in this role you must be empathetic and influential.
