Requirements for Driver

  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate qualification.
  • 5 years of driving experience including long-distance driving to all parts of Nigeria, with special consideration given to knowledge of Bauchi State.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with an International organization, Embassy, or any similar body will be an advantage.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of vehicle mechanics and the ability to carry out minor vehicle maintenance.
  • Good working knowledge of road networks in most parts of Northern Nigeria
  • MUST have knowledge of automobile certification Trade tests 1 & 2

Requirements for Project Coordinator, Gender Equality & Women’s Rights

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree (or over 5 years of relevant experience) in Gender and Development Studies, Social work, Demography, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Statistics, Humanitarian Studies, or other relevant qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of “hands-on” working experience in designing and implementing gender and inclusion programming, conducting gender analysis, experience in gender mainstreaming, report writing, and program work, including field experience and/or with institutional donors.
  • Experience in training and facilitation of gender transformative approaches, gender and development frameworks, feminist methodologies, and a good understanding of gender and conflict sensitive approaches, and gender and intersectionality.
  • Knowledge of research (gender research, social scientific research, feminist methodologies) writing skills, and transformative approaches like the Rapid Care Analysis, Gender Action Learning Systems, Women and Economic Empowerment Approaches, Transformative Leadership for Women’s Rights, and other related approaches are highly desirable.
  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and reporting on gender and inclusion programs from project inception to closeout stages.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and adherence to Oxfam’s safeguarding policy and related policies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using a computerized information management system (Microsoft Word, Excel, Statistical analysis software, field data collection tools ODK, Mwater App, Kobo Toolbox, GIS mapping, etc.)
  • Commitment to Oxfam’s overall aims and policies and experience of promoting women’s rights and the interests of marginalized people in all aspects of Oxfam’s work.
  • Proven experience working with partner organizations and helping them develop their independent expertise and ability to deliver results, through effective capacity-building and learning and development activities.
  • Fluency in English and Hausa is required (Knowledge of Fulfude will be an added advantage).
  • Applicant must be national/local – must devote a minimum of 90 percent of the time to project activities, willingness to travel, and be familiar with the project implementation location to achieve expected outcomes.

Requirements for Gender Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Social Accountability Officer

  • First Degree or equivalent in Gender and Development Studies, Social Work, Demography, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Statistics, Humanitarian Studies, or other relevant qualification (MSc. is highly desirable).
  • Minimum of 2 years of “hands-on” working experience in designing learning, and monitoring systems on gender programs; gender analysis, report writing, and program work, including field experience and/or with institutional donors.
  • Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ or performance monitoring plans.
  • Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis using feminist methodologies.
  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using a computerized information management system (Microsoft Word, Excel, Statistical analysis software, field data collection tools ODK, Mwater App, Kobo Toolbox, GIS mapping, etc.)
