Egbin Power Plc. Lagos is one of the biggest additions to the electricity industry in Nigeria. Often seen as the biggest single-generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was built to meet the ever-rising demand for electricity in Lagos and its environs.

Following the nation’s privatization exercise, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group, and sundry affiliations, acquired the 1320 MW installed capacity Egbin Power Plant. We are working towards deploying a minimum of 5,000 MW of electricity generation over the next five years.

Requirements for Senior Engineer (Boiler Maintenance)

Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Postgraduate/relevant professional qualification
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience with at least three (3) years at a supervisory level.
Experience and working exposure to maintenance of steam generators and auxiliaries.
In-depth understanding of boiler Operations
Sound technical troubleshooting skills
Appreciable knowledge of safety requirements
Knowledge of standard operating procedures with respect to maintenance of boiler and auxiliaries
Sound knowledge of power generation processes.
Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory management
Effective communication and Reporting Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Requirements for Senior Engineer (Turbine Maintenance)

Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Postgraduate/relevant professional qualification
Minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience with at least three (3) years supervisory role
Experience and working exposure to maintenance of steam turbines and auxiliaries
In-depth understanding of Steam Turbine Operations
Good knowledge and usage of turbine equipment/auxiliaries’ tools.
Sound technical troubleshooting skills
Appreciable knowledge of QHSE and conformance requirements
Knowledge of standard operating procedures with respect to maintenance of turbine and auxiliaries
Sound knowledge of power generation processes
Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices
Effective communication and Reporting Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Requirements for Senior Engineer (Machinist)

B.Tech./ HND or M.Sc. or its equivalent in Engineering or related discipline.
8 – 10 years working in the same or similar role
Proven experience as a machinist.
Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, rollers, CNC machines etc.)
Ability to use a wide array of precision tools to take accurate measurements.
Excellent knowledge of material property
Good analytical skills.
Understanding of safety standards and protocols
Team player who can lead a project team to achieve objectives.
Ability to see projects through to completion.
Able to work independently and meet up with deadlines.
Strong oral, written, interpersonal and illustrative communication skills as the role requires interaction with different levels of professionals.
