Requirements for North West Humanitarian Access & Safety Officer
- Applicants Must have Tertiary education (Bachelor minimum) in Security Operations, Management, Communication, Criminology, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Applicants Must have Computer skills (primarily MS Office applications), especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Applicants Must have 2 years of experience working with international agencies or UN agencies.
- Applicants Must have a Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Applicants Must have Stable, moral, and robust character and a good team player.
- Applicants Must have Excellent communication skills, be calm, and have a good sense of humor.
- Applicants Must have Proven commitment to accountability practices.
- Applicants Must have the ability to comprehend security-related subjects such as threats/risk management, security management, and personal and organizational security awareness.
- Applicants Must be Competent and literate in English, verbal and written, with a sound knowledge of technical expressions in English and Hausa.
- Applicants Must have Demonstrative experience in INGO/NGO or UN field (operations) with experience in Access, safety, and security.
Requirements for Humanitarian Access & Safety Officer
- Applicants Must have Tertiary education (Bachelor minimum) in Security Risk Management, Political Science, Criminology, Sociology, Terrorism, and Security studies, or a related field.
- Applicants Must have Three to four years of experience working with NGOs, other international agencies, or multinational business
- Applicants Must have a Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Applicants Must have Stable, moral, and robust character and a good team-player
- Applicants Must have Excellent communication skills, be calm, and have a good sense of humor
- Applicants Must have Proven commitment to accountability practices
- Applicants Must have Strong information technology skills
- Applicants Must have Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to humanitarian work or risk management
- Applicants Must be Competent and literate in English, verbal and written, with a sound knowledge of technical expressions.
- Applicants Must have Demonstrative experience in INGO/NGO or UN field (operations) with experience in safety and security.
- Applicants Must have an Ex-service personnel (Military, police, or DSS) certificate of honorable discharge will be required.
Requirements for Driver
- Applicants Must have Proven qualifications in safe driving
- Applicants Must have Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a professional setting
- Applicants Must have 4 years of relevant work experience in transportation, mechanics, logistics, and operations.
- Applicants Must have Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle(s) to be operated(SUVs).
- Applicants Must have Good command of English and Nigerian languages
- Applicants Must have Good knowledge of the Abuja map and routes
- Applicants Must have Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Applicants Must have the Ability to communicate in English, both written and orally.
- Applicants Must have Experience with international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
- Applicants Must be in good physical health.
- Applicants Must have Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle various road and weather conditions.
