Requirements for Senior Immunization Advisor (CDC-Funded Global Childhood Immunization Project – Nigeria)

  • Advanced graduate Degree in Medicine or Public Health with a concentration in immunization and global health.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the implementation of international health programs with substantial knowledge and experience related to infectious diseases and intervention and child immunization highly preferred.
  • Proven technical expertise using new approaches to strengthen immunization uptake.
  • Knowledge of USG framework of addressing childhood immunization in fragile context and familiarity with CDC policy and strategies to address childhood immunizations.
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with local and national host government agencies and aligning program activities and results with national strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including technical, management, and evaluation expertise for complex programs in resource-constrained countries.
  • Knowledge of and experience with CDC rules and regulations is required.
  • Deep knowledge of the political, social, and economic context of conflict and fragile settings required.
  • Strong staff supervision skills and demonstrated ability to coordinate programs with partners from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences; demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience building the capacity of national non-government partner organizations to achieve CDC’s goal of localization for future funding.
  • Strong communication skills, including both written and oral presentation skills; proven ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse public and private partners.
  • English fluency with professional proficiency in writing is required.

Requirements for Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director (CDC-Funded Global Childhood Immunization Project – Nigeria)

  • An Advanced Degree in Research Methods, Statistics, Biostatistics, quantitative/qualitative Data Analysis, Public Health, Social / Behavioral Sciences, or other relevant medical or health discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years working on monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning in the field of public health, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, family planning, and other infectious disease programs, as well as knowledge of monitoring results-based financing programs.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in collecting, analyzing, and managing donor-funded project data of health projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing M&E systems, consistent with USAID protocols for data collection and reporting.
  • Experience with the USG CLA approach, including developing and integrating the CLA approach within project frameworks and leading CLA approaches across partners and technical focus areas to yield successful collaboration and integration.
  • Familiarity with USG administrative, management, and reporting procedures and systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Requirements for Director of Finance & Administration (CDC-Funded Global Childhood Immunization Project – Nigeria)

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree (or international equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; additional accounting certification preferred, e.g., American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), etc.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible administrative and financial management experience on large, complex, donor-funded international development projects, including financial and accounting systems development, financial monitoring, budget development, procurement, operations and logistics, IT, and HR management and administration.
  • Minimum of 6 years of leadership/supervisory experience managing finance, accounting, operations, and administrative staff and teams. Experience in strengthening the organizational capacity of host country institutions is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Substantial experience in financial management of consortia of local implementing partners
  • Extensive experience in financial management of USAID or CDC-funded projects of similar scope and size (cooperative agreements and/or contracts); strong understanding of USG compliance rules and regulations (including FAR and AIDAR acquisition regulations) and Cost Accounting Standards; demonstrated experience with CDC/USG financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience overseeing project operations, procurement, and logistics; extensive experience in the development and management of large project budgets.
  • Experience overseeing management of sub-grants and sub-contracts.
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial accounting software, including USG financial dashboards (DATIM, DevResults, etc.) and related financial management software and applications; high degree of proficiency in relevant software packages such as Adobe, MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, versatility, and integrity; excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communications skills; demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Professional level fluency in English, both oral and written.
